I think the horse is all speed. The faster they go, the better for him. Bunny-hopped one or two, but looks pretty quick over his obstacles generally.

@PaulKealyRP I personally didn't have plans to attend but I believe that it would have caused more issues had it not gone ahead after the 11am Inspection. A meeting can be called off at any point & they put in a lot of work to make it happen, I know. But it's unsatisfactory. Just my opinion.

@PaulKealyRP I'm not saying racing should have been called off at 8am, but I think a decision should have been made before the time gates opened. I think that is fair enough.

@PaulKealyRP It's the cost to the public & connections Paul. If people are traveling by train, bus or Car, are the course going to reimburse them for a wasted trip? For those that bought tickets, losing the £20 entry is better than forking out £70 for the return train and not getting it back

Bit of a shambles at @Ascot today. Fair enough, racings gone ahead, but surely a decision needs to be made earlier than an hour before racing takes place. Would connections & public have been refunded travel expenses if called off @itvracing? Even now its on a race by race basis!

@claimsfive What are equal opportunities? Would you not argue Bryony Frost & Rachael Blackmore get more opportunities than some male riders? In a sport flooded by males riders, it's just a case of getting as many females involved, & for me, its on a steeper upward curve than it ever has been

@kevinblake2011 @AtTheRaces First watched racing with my Granddad when I was just 6. We used to go racing once or twice a year (I got in free). I now rely on R4R to get my Festival ticket each year because £55 on top of travel & food isn't affordable weekly! What I'd give to go more frequently! But life....

@swflanagan7 @3furlongsout @kevinblake2011 Increasing the penalty isn't going to stop incidents altogether, no. It would reduce them if riders knew the punishments. Nobody wants to stop individuals earning a living. We all love the sport & want both horses & jockeys to come back safe and sound!!

@Markfishenright @kevinblake2011 Nobodys questioning how hard he works Mark. He still has a professional responsibility to keep himself, other jockeys & the horses safe. There is no doubt he should have pulled his whip through at some point. If the penalties were tougher, it would reduce the amount of incidents!

#ChampagneWell was unfortunate not to win 3 of his 5 hurdle starts last season but that helped preserve his novice status. His form with Thyme Hill at this course is solid and I can't see him getting beat despite a 3lb penalty.

#Destrier's third to Janika & Dolos is solid (both ran well in G1 Tingle Creek). He comes here off the same mark and is unlikely to meet anything of their class. He looks a really solid bet today at around 13/8!

#ChampagnePlatinum likely to improve over fences being good a P-2-P winner. His last run can be ignored as he met with a setback & wasn't fully wound up for his return behind Klassical Dream & Felix Desjy. The 7/2 available last night was big! Looks the most likely winner to me.
