The Houthi/Iranian advance in Yemen spell serious trouble for the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. MBS seems frozen in fear or denial about what’s happening.

BLUF - Bottom Line Up Front: The former OPEC leader is being reduced to a paper Oil barrel that will need Iran & Houthi Yemenis permission to make any future income.

1) Iran has effectively cut off the kingdom‘s ability to export oil from either of the east or the west.

2) MBS does not appear to understand or is hiding from the fact that Iranian/Iraqi/ Yemeni Shia Muslims will determine if the KSA can generate any future oil revenue and how much.

KSA may become a defacto vassal state to Iran’s asymmetric combat power. Thank Donald Trump for this.

3) Saudi/UAE backed militias in Yemen were just sources of graft with 80% of units being manned by ghost soldiers. Whole units are defecting to the Houthis and/or running. The Yemeni leadership will soon fly off to Dubai or their KSA Villas ala Afghan Gov.

4) The RSAF is slowly responding to Houthi moves well after they’ve seized their objectives. The KSA army, air & naval forces are cowering from men who fight in flip flops. The only way to stop this is a full scale invasion of Yemen … and they won’t. The KSA armed forces is a paycheck, not a job.

5) The Western half of Yemen and likely seizure of Aden will place Iran in the drivers seat for dictating the flow of all economic traffic from Europe to Asia.

6) MBS in Egypt may be a Hail Mary to get EG/KSA alliance to storm Yemen fm north and pin the Ansarallah forces down or force them to give up the Bab Al-Mendab.

7) KSA can no longer depend on the USA for anything, except to sell weapons that won’t help their wh defense. They thought they bought Trump but they only purchased his brand, not America’s loyalty. They’re just like every other subcontractor he screwed. Want revenge? Cancel the Trump golf course/residence in Riyadh.

8) Netanyahu, Kushner & Trump are waiting in the wings for KSA to be so weakened they are forced sign the Abraham accords and demand they start sending oil up to the Trans-Israel pipeline and export via Ashkelon. It could happen.

All because men with flip flops & rifles took Moka.

Yesterday, we lost a cherished member of our family.

We got Sunny at the start of our second term in the White House, and all of us – including our first dog, Bo – immediately fell in love. We also had trouble keeping up with her, for Sunny was a force of nature. Athletic and full of boundless energy, she leapt over the hedges on the South Lawn like they weren’t even there, chasing squirrels, birds and anything else that moved. And whereas the way to Bo’s heart usually involved a treat, Sunny was more interested in having us run around with her, roll on the floor with her, or have her belly rubbed for as long as we were willing.

She loved the girls, even if they were pestering her when she was napping. She loved our team, and would often follow them around, helping them on the job. She was fiercely protective of Bo, who she rightly sensed wasn’t always as alert and attentive as she was. She had her eccentricities: other than Bo, she preferred people to dogs; she was a loud and sloppy drinker; and despite being a Portuguese Water Dog, she hated getting wet.

But as far as our family was concerned, she was pretty much perfect, and for thirteen years, she would be by our side – always loyal, always sweet, always ready for adventure, still fiery and gorgeous till the very end of her days.

We will miss her terribly, and imagine she’s with her big brother now, making sure he’s okay.
