Several years ago I ‘volunteered’ (pressured is the better word) to help hand out food for a Thanksgiving drive. We gave out turkeys, potatoes, cranberry sauce - everything for free. There were people driving up in BMW or Lexus SUVs - all foreigners from Russia, East Asia, India. We were instructed not to question need. 50% was obvious fraud. But at the end the guy running this program was ecstatic. He talked about the sheer quantity of food we gave away without regard to helping anyone. Later I realized this ‘non-profit’ probably received state grants, the size of which depended on how much ‘good’ it was doing. Taxpayers had paid for free food for people who didn’t need it, a non-profit paid its employees and staff - and a bunch of suckers like me ‘volunteered’ to help the effort.

Watching that Tesla demo made me think of Elon Musk's time in government. Can you even imagine his frustration? He had earlier taken over Twitter, fired 4 in 5 employees, and transformed the thing into the world's most powerful news app that is now in the processing of reinventing money transfer and banking. Tesla just made the flying rocket car real. The idea that he wants anything to do with the reactionary pillaging, poisoning, and devaluation scheme called government is preposterous. It's only there as an annoyance, an impediment to progress. He simply could not stick around; huge waste of his time.

Shiva Naipaul says the error of using the term “Third World” for every country that isn’t white is something that “unites the far left and the far right.”

Respectfully, that’s just wrong. The Left is the only side that collapses the entire non-white world into a single category, and they do it for the obvious reason that it increases their political power.

It’s very easy to criticize Third Worldism by pointing out that Black Caribbeans, Arabs, and Indians don’t have much in common. But who wants to pretend they do? Who benefits from doing so? It’s the Left.
