NEW: Arthel Neville breaks down the emotional weight of the Lindsay Clancy murder trial ruling and why getting it right matters as it sets a precedent for postpartum depression discourse:
“You do have the side of Americans that are defending that postpartum depression is real, and that women do suffer from that.”
“Then there is the side where people are saying ‘yes, I get that, but there has to be some accountability.’”
“We can’t get on a slippery slope where this type of heinous murder, unfortunate tragedy happens, and it becomes normal.” | @OutnumberedFNC
"She is nothing less than pure evil."
Medal of Honor recipient @Dakota_Meyer calls Lindsay Clancy "pure evil" and questions why the trial isn't searching for justice for the 3 children she murdered.
"I hope she is suffering a tenth of what her child was suffering as she stood behind her child with her workout band and she choked and listened and felt her child squirm, fight against this."
"And we're worried about how this woman is feeling? Nobody cares. Nobody cares nor should we care about how she's feeling. I'm sure she is struggling. She should be."
"This is absolutely absurd and appalling that we are trying to find empathy over finding justice for these 3 innocent children who this woman brutally murdered."
"I have probably taken the lives of men who deserved it less than this woman." | @OutnumberedFNC
BREAKING: The Lindsay Clancy defense has filed an appeal challenging the judge's decision to declare a mistrial, arguing a juror who allegedly refused to follow the law should have been removed or questioned further.
Fox News contributor and George Washington law professor @JonathanTurley calls it an "unbelievable filing," saying it "borders on the frivolous" and argued the judge had already taken the necessary steps before declaring a mistrial.
Turley adds that simply disagreeing with other jurors is not grounds under Massachusetts law to replace a juror with an alternate. | @AmericaRpts
NEW: Alan Dershowitz says prosecutors overreached by pursuing first-degree murder against Lindsay Clancy and predicts they won't make the same move if the case is tried again.
There is no dispute that Clancy killed her three children, he says. The real fight is over her mental state and whether she met the legal standard for insanity.
Dershowitz points to the hung jury as evidence that reasonable people can come down on opposite sides of that question and says a plea deal could ultimately make sense for both sides. | @AmericaRpts
BREAKING: Judge William Sullivan has declared a mistrial in the Lindsay Clancy murder case after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict following seven days of deliberations.
Clancy admitted to killing her three children but argued postpartum psychosis left her not criminally responsible for their deaths.
BREAKING: Plymouth County DA Timothy Cruz says the prosecution remains focused on seeking justice for the 3 murdered Clancy children:
"Our priority has always been to fight for Cora, for Dawson, and for Callan."
"The noise in this case may be louder than it is for other prosecutions in our county, but we have treated it the same as any other case."
"Children were murdered, and it's our job to seek justice."
BREAKING: Kevin Reddington speaks out following the mistrial in the Lindsay Clancy case, defending his client after 7 weeks of court proceedings.
"I’m representing a woman who is a fantastic, wonderful individual. This woman is so brave, so awesome. Every day she came in this courthouse, stood tall, no pun intended."
"The poor thing is in a wheelchair. As we all know for the rest of her life. And sat there through seven weeks of a trial where nobody had anything bad to say about her except for the two prosecutors and apparently Tim Cruz."
"This case is not about the health care system or about how women are treated in it... This case, however, was about Lindsay Clancy and what she did on January 24th, 2023 and the cruel and calculated killing of three innocents."
Plymouth County DA Timothy Cruz defends bringing first-degree murder charges against Clancy after her case ends in a mistrial.
Cruz acknowledges the impact postpartum depression has on countless women and their families, but says the investigation did not establish that depression caused the killings.
"They know that they were robbed by one man for whatever his agenda was."
Lindsay Clancy's attorney Kevin Reddington accuses one juror of costing the rest of the panel seven weeks of their lives and leaving fellow jurors visibly "defeated."
"I hope that guy can sleep well at least."
NEW: Kevin Reddington pushes back when a reporter asks what he would do differently in a second trial for Lindsay Clancy:
"Why would I? I won the case."
Reddington says he's ready to retry the case as soon as Monday.
NEW: Plymouth County DA Timothy Cruz fires back at a reporter's questions suggesting that the prosecution's case was "insensitive":
"Insensitive? Insensitive is killing three children."
"We have an obligation to stand up for those people and seek justice."
"So if people can't understand that, I don't know how I can answer that question."
"Pawn Stars" boss Rick Harrison went in for what was supposed to be a "simpler" medical procedure, but doctors discovered he needed emergency bypass surgery.
"He is resting comfortably and looking forward to a full recovery," a Harrison family spokesperson tells Fox News Digital.
The 60-year-old reality star is recovering with his wife Angie and family by his side and says he's grateful for the doctors and hospital staff caring for him.
