Today in P3 we were learning about the importance of being active. We learned that exercise helps to keep our heart and muscles healthy and strong. We loved our active afternoon moving our bodies in the classroom and in the gym hall during PE! @CarmondeanP3
Today P3 visited the nursery garden where Miss Allen and Mr McLaughlin led a session at the fire pit. We learned how to make a fire and how to stay safe around a fire pit. The sโmores were delicious! ๐ Thank you @CarmondeanELC!
Primary 3 have been looking at the Water Cycle and the process of Evaporation, Condensation and Precipitation. We learnt about it in different ways including making our own and observing the changes throughout the day as well as exploring the process using Lego.
As part of Challenge Poverty Week P2 & P2/3 listened to โA Place to Stayโ during milk and story time. We discussed how the characters were feeling and if we could relate to the feelings or experiences in the story #ChallengePoverty#CPW24@CarmondeanP3@MissRaffertyCPS@WL_Equity
Today P3 & P2/3 went outdoors to find fallen leaves ๐ We then drew around them and others had to match up the leaves to the correct drawings. We will continue to go oudoors to look for signs of autumn in the coming months! #outdoors@MissRaffertyCPS@CarmondeanP3
Today P3 & P2/3 went on a sound walk. We used beaters to make different sounds and described them. "Bang" "Jingle" "Clanging" and "Puffing" were some of the excellent adjectives we came up with. Not even the rain could stop us! ๐ง @CarmondeanP3@MissRaffertyCPS#learningoutdoors

Today Primary 6S invited our families into school for our first ever Learning Breakfast ๐ We loved sharing our learning with each other and our families whilst enjoying some tasty treats @Mrs_ScottCPS
This week P6S began work on measure in maths ๐ . As part of #MondayMania we took our learning outdoors. We estimated, measured, found the difference between 2 measurements and converted between metres and centimetres in our environment ๐ณ @Mrs_ScottCPS

P6 took part in their annual Euro Quiz, up against 46 schools in West Lothian and 110 teams. We came in at an incredible 4th place and weโre so proud of our teams and the hard work they put in, well done to you all! @1plus2_WLC @SEET_scotland @CMuir_MSmithCPS @Mrs_ScottCPS
P5, 6 and 7 had a very enjoyable afternoon with the author Barbara Henderson who told us all about her new novel โRivet Boyโ. There was lots of interactive fun with an exciting quiz too! Thank you to Barbara for visiting us. @scattyscribbler@MrsGilmourCPS
