On 19 July 2024, I published two posts on my X account in which I made allegations about Mr Mothin Ali being involved in the Harehills riots. I have accepted these were incorrect and I have jointly made a statement in open Court in order to apologise to Mr Ali and correct the record which is below.

Starting with CUPE Ontario President Yolanda McClean, labour leaders are standing in solidarity with WSIB workers fighting to protect their jobs and the services Ontarians rely on.
Closing WSIB offices and laying off workers while workloads remain high will only create more delays and make it harder for injured workers to get the help they need.
WSIB workers deserve better – and so do injured workers across Ontario.
Take action and tell WSIB: stop the layoffs and keep offices open! ✊🏽

From Terminal 3 at Toronto Pearson this morning: CUPE flight attendants take to the picket line in their fight against unpaid work and low pay at @WestJet . Read CUPE Ontario's statement of support and solidarity with the members of CUPE 8125: https://t.co/ZbZy8Jfe8C
So @fordnation travels at taxpayers' expense to attend a @LIUNA "leadership conference" at a FL Disney beach club resort, but WON'T meet at home with striking @OPSEU social service & community agency workers. Way to stick up for the little guy, Doug. #WorthFightingFor
Did Minister @JillDunlop1 overrule her staff person? Did she call back to #AsItHappens? Has she said she'd finish answering Nil Köksal's questions?
Nope. Typical run-and-hide reaction of @fordnation Conservatives. #onpoli
"We'd never underfund our firefighters," lies @fordnation.
In its statement of solidarity with those affected by the wildfires raging in our province, CUPE Ontario also looks at Carney & Ford, whose policies ignore realities confronting the rest of us: https://t.co/wocY99Qa1B
Great meeting today between CUPE Ontario president Yolanda McClean @Yoequality & Ontario NDP Leader @MaritStiles
Said McClean: "We had a wide-ranging discussion about stopping Ford's Conservatives from further starving our public services & privatizing our public resources. We're proud continue fighting alongside @OntarioNDP to protect public sector workers and the services they deliver for all Ontarians."
Members of the #keepwaterpublic coalition met @TorontoStar photographer René Johnston today for a photo to accompany reporter Alyshah Hasham's @alysanmati upcoming story on the fight to keep mega-data centres - and their insatiable demands for water - out of Mississauga.
Look for the story in the the Star over the weekend.

Keeping water public seems key to foiling @fordnation plans for mega data centres across Ontario.
But Ford may have match his match in public opposition to catering for voracious AI needs.

@mrsburnside2011@JILLSLASTWORD@ruthmkb I'd say you're misleading people.
Claiming travel costs as tax deductions on a low-wage income is NO substitute for being reimbursed for those costs
Not to mention travel time - PSWs working in the community aren't paid for the time spent traveling from one client to the next.
#CareCantWait - and neither can long-term care workers!
That was the message from leaders and members from 8 CUPE locals - representing 1100 long-term care staff across Ontario - to their employer @extendicare Supporting their demands were CUPE Ontario's president @Yoequality Yolanda McClean & secretary-treasurer Dawn Bellerose #hcwcc chair Debra Maxfield, CUPE ON exec board member Martin Larocque & CUPE's sec-treasurer @CandaceRennick & @jamiewestndp, shadow labour critic.
CUPE locals are bargaining at a central table with Extendicare and are determined to address chronic understaffing, low wages and inadequate benefits - issues directly tied to resident care.
Extendicare is one of Canada’s largest private long-term care providers. Last year, the company made over $96 million dollars in profits, while long-term care workers continue to be undervalued and under-resourced.
