Every Ontarian deserves access to mental health and addictions services.
Our members who work at consumption treatment sites save lives every day often working with the most vulnerable and marginalized folks.
Today’s announcement from the Ford government must be reversed.
Big congratulations to reelected @FredHahnCUPE & @Yoequality! Two formidable leaders who aren’t afraid of making a little (or a lot of!) good trouble for the workers of Ontario. Looking forward to continuing this fight together! ✊🏻
We were loud and clear today at the Ontario Health Coalition Rally to fight back against the privatization of our public healthcare ✊🏾💪🏾📢 We won’t back down and let our services be trampled on by the Ford government’s bad decision making 🪧
An honour to bare witness as @solmamakwa@OntarioNDP MPP changes the Ontario Legislaure forever speaking his Indiginous language officially for the first time yesterday - so many @CUPEOntario@cupenat@cupe7gen folks there too!
This afternoon Convention delegates got a chance to hear reports from CUPE Ontario President, Fred Hahn, CUPE Ontario Secretary-Treasurer, Yolanda McClean, and CUPE National Secretary-Treasurer, Candace Rennick 👏🏽 #CUPEON24#60YearsofCUPEON
Yesterday, the incredible workers of Home and Community Care Support Services (HCCSS) - nearly 1600 strong - took a powerful stand for better wages!
In a moving press conference, they presented a whopping 1700+ signature-strong petition, gearing up for crucial bargaining in the spring. 📜✨
The icing on the cake? CUPE Ontario Secretary Treasurer, Yolanda McClean, joined them to hand-deliver these petitions to NDP MPPs Jill Andrew and Jessica Bell.
Solidarity in action! Let's support these dedicated workers as they fight for fair wages and the recognition they deserve.
CUPE Ontario Secretary-Treasurer Yolanda McClean @Yoequality underscored the importance of coming together to build our movement at PSAC’s National Leadership Training in December.
Our life experiences shape the way we show up in the world. It's stories like @NasYadollahi’s that motivate activists to fight for life affirming public services that make the city more equitable and safe.
Twenty years ago my life changed- my brother Soroush became the city’s second homicide victim of 2004.
As we prepare for the City budget, let’s choose to invest in communities- in public services and in the workers who deliver them to keep Toronto safe.
