@WFKARS @cvspharmacy This is happening to me right now too. I do not have a highly complex medical condition, but I've been injecting Stelara for over a year — with fantastic results — and suddenly it's no longer covered. WTF. Keep at it, @WFKARS!
@papadontteach @The_GrammarGeek I’ll add that for some folks, the more syllables the better. I work with marketing types in a large corp. Ex: A word in doc should be bold. Young lady annotates, “Embolden [word].” I pee my pants. Every time. I’ve saved the evidence. (Of the annotation, not of my pants.)
@AMWClarkLaw @GramrgednAngel Thank you, Anne-Marie! I've been told that "the kids" are paying good money to attain the color of my hair. I'm looking forward to when paper-thin skin and "liver spots" become all the rage!
@AMWClarkLaw @GramrgednAngel Many years pre-internet, I implored a woman who answered the phone to go outside the building she was in, look up at the sign on it, and tell me if there was a hyphen in the two-word name. Nothing I could find elsewhere was consistent. (Now I can't recall where else I'd looked!)
@stuartasterling My heart hurts for you. No, we don’t know one another. What compels me to comment isn’t just your post — it’s the huge number of other parents who have lost children responding and making themselves available to you with love. They’ve endured and you will too. Take your time.
@H_E_Saunders I’m in the “otherfucker” camp but voted for “muckerfucker” in the poll because of the “muh” factor. I’ve never liked the original for obvious reasons but oh do I use it anyway yes I sure as fuck do.
@GrammarTable I chose "it depends" because I think that it's technically correct to use a comma BUT I think it clutters up the exclamation, so I might use it if I think I'll be judged for NOT using it! It reads and looks better without it, which is a sound basis for going without it, right?
@AlecBaldwin My heart is with you, Alec. I’ve had to know and live with something like this myself, and it feels unbearable at first, and then takes a lot of time to become, in fact, bearable, even if always painful. I feel for you and wish you well.
@H_E_Saunders So much good luck. You’re going to get tired of all the good luck, that’s how much good luck you’re in for. An unfathomable amount of good luck hurtling your way. Make way!
My daughter is in Greece, and I am envious. @marycommanorris, I urged her to swim with “no Lycra between her and the sea,” to paraphrase #GreekToMe, which I’m reading again again. https://t.co/ZySn7u9KKl
@KOKEdit As another freelancer of a similar age, I’m THRILLED to hear this. And inspired. Our timelines are similar but I’m also working a 9–5 these days. 🥴 Would rather not be, that’s for sure. You’re doing it right! 💪🏼
@H_E_Saunders I got the most wonderful surprise in my 3D IRL mailbox this afternoon! Seems you and the #thatwordchat peeps have been up to some happy-making trIcks! As if you’re not busy enough! Thank you thank you thank you.
@H_E_Saunders Poor sweetie. My old girl hurts herself all the time these days. She plays and runs like she’s two but then limps around like the 14 she is because she went too hard with the young’un. ❤️
@SKleinedler Yes! YESSS! I start to say some thing like “... a year or so ago” and then realize I need to amend that and add, “So I guess it was at LEAST two years ago.” Like 2020 didn’t register as an ordinary expanse of time. Meanwhile, it felt sooooo looonnnnng. Feels STILL so looonnnnng.
