Arizona's first Buc-ee's opens in Goodyear in less than two weeks.
For the past year, I've been documenting the journey through an independent fan project called Buceegram & Friends.
What started during a season of grief became a community, a website, an opening day fan challenge, and a cast of plush executive team characters that have followed the project from construction to opening day.
If any local media are looking for a unique fan perspective or human-interest story surrounding Arizona's first Buc-ee's, I'd be happy to speak on the record.

I had the opportunity to appear on The Chips N Salsa Show to discuss my ongoing experience involving memorialized Facebook accounts, digital assets, next-of-kin access, and the growing policy conversations surrounding these issues.
We discussed how what started as a deeply personal experience after the passing of my mother has now opened broader conversations involving technology, grief, digital legacy rights, and possible future legislative discussions both locally and federally.
Thank you again to the show for giving me the opportunity to share my story and discuss why this issue is only going to become more important as more of our lives move online.

People don’t trust politicians anymore.
That’s why outsider voices are gaining traction in places people never expected.
Different states.
Same frustration.
Common sense.
Transparency.
New direction.
Safer communities.
Voters are rejecting politics as usual.

If Crystal Carroll is supposedly “irrelevant” and “losing badly” like her opponents keep claiming…
Then why are so many people spending this much time, energy, and money attacking her?
At some point, voters start asking a simple question:
Why panic over someone you supposedly aren’t worried about?
People are paying attention.
Crystal Carroll is also willing to go on the record and speak directly with media outlets about the attacks, the campaign, and the issues facing Scottsdale voters.

@Nextdoor
Hey @Nextdoor — all I was doing was promoting a political candidate and discussing a local Scottsdale election. Multiple times now my account has been locked, and now I cannot even access my own account to deactivate it.
Moderation is one thing. Completely locking residents out of their accounts with no meaningful human review process is another.
This is a local community platform. People should be able to respectfully discuss local elections without being repeatedly shut out of their accounts.
The way users are being treated through these lockouts is unacceptable. Shame on you.
Hey Rob — I saw you’re doing a video for Michelle and wanted to reach out because I genuinely think Crystal Carroll is one of the strongest outsider voices in this Scottsdale race right now.
She’s getting attacked nonstop by the political establishment simply for questioning the status quo and speaking directly to residents. Whether people agree with her or not, she’s bringing energy, transparency, and real conversation into a race that desperately needs it.
A lot of Scottsdale voters are frustrated with insider politics and want fresh leadership that actually listens to the public. Crystal has been out meeting residents face-to-face and taking the heat head-on instead of hiding from it.
I honestly think her story and campaign would make for a compelling video or conversation if you’re open to it.

Politics is supposed to be about ideas, debate, and serving the community — not threats, intimidation, harassment, or personal attacks.
People can disagree politically without becoming unhinged.
America needs more civil debate and less toxic behavior from all sides.
Crystal Carroll is willing to go on record and speak publicly about the increasingly toxic climate surrounding local politics.

The more outsiders challenge the political machine, the louder the attacks become.
People can report posts all they want. It won’t change the fact that voters are tired of the same insiders controlling everything.
represents something different — and people are clearly paying attention.

Interesting how suddenly my posts are getting reported across multiple platforms the moment I start posting about Crystal Carroll for Scottsdale CityCouncil.
If Crystal didn’t have a real chance of winning, there wouldn’t be this much effort to silence supporters and bury content.
Honestly? I’m flattered. It tells me the message is reaching people and making the right people nervous.
I’ll keep speaking up. Voters can decide for themselves.
Fresh perspective. Real-world experience. Outsider mindset.

Hi, I'm Crystal Carroll.
Raised by a single mom on welfare, I worked for every opportunity and built several successful businesses from the ground up while raising four children & I'm also a business owner in Old Town.
My real-world business experience has taught me how to budget responsibly, create jobs, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions that deliver real results.
I'm not running to play politics — I'm running to bring accountable, efficient leadership to City Hall and make decisions based on what's best for Scottsdale residents, not special interests or donor relationships.
✅ Real-world business experience
✅ Fiscal responsibility
✅ Residents first leadership
What's ONE thing you would fix in Scottsdale?
I'd love to hear from you.

Has anyone else had issues with Amazon packing extremely heavy items into one oversized box?
I have asked countless times for lighter packaging and smaller shipments, but it keeps happening. Tonight the box was so heavy I had to kick it into my house because I physically could not lift it safely.
An Amazon customer service representative told me the company is trying to use fewer boxes. I understand the environmental and cost concerns, but there has to be a balance between reducing packaging and customer safety.
Not everyone can safely maneuver giant bulk shipments alone, especially older adults or people with mobility issues.
Customer service was kind and helped resolve the situation, but this has become an ongoing issue and honestly it’s getting unbearable. @amazon@AmazonHelp
What began as a personal issue involving my late mother’s memorialized social media account has now grown into broader conversations surrounding digital assets, next-of-kin rights, and gaps families are facing navigating these systems after loss.
I recently had productive conversations with both an Arizona State Senator and Congressman Schweikert’s office, and we are beginning early research and prep work surrounding possible future policy discussions regarding memorialized accounts, digital assets, and digital legacy rights.
This issue is only going to become more common as more of our lives, memories, and identities exist online.
Families should not have to navigate confusing platform systems alone during grief.
I am also available to speak on the record with media regarding both the personal experience and the growing policy concerns surrounding this issue, whether for a digital story, print interview, or on-camera coverage.

Hi Mary Jo — I wanted to reach out regarding an issue I’ve been navigating involving my mom’s memorialized Facebook account after her passing earlier this year. What started as something personal has now turned into broader conversations surrounding Arizona’s digital assets law, next-of-kin access, and the growing gap families face with social media platforms. A local article already ran on the issue, and I thought it might be something worth looking into from both a public policy and human perspective. @maryjpitzl

Arizona’s in trouble.
We’ve lost 17,800 jobs in the last year and 10,900 in one month. Families need over $19,000 more a year just to cover basic expenses, and wages are not catching up.
That is why I’m running for governor.
@JohnHookfox10@JohnHookfox10 I saw this—your story really highlighted how real this issue is. I’m going through it right now trying to access my mom’s memorialized Facebook account.
Arizona does have a law, but it doesn’t create a clear path for families. I’ve also begun raising this with the state legislature with the help of @KimQuintero.
This is bigger than one case.
Hey Jaime! Quick heads up—I was just on FOX 10 about issues with memorialized Facebook accounts and next-of-kin access (my mom’s account). It’s starting to turn into a bigger story with others reaching out. Let me know if you want more info!
