A new bullseye of highly efficient rain-producing storms has setup along I-10 between Houston and San Antonio in the Seguin and Luling areas. 2-4”/hr rain rates with totals now exceeding 7” in spots.

If driving that way, stay away from any flooded roads, including I-10.

I feel awful for the folks in Florida who are about to endure the wrath of Mother Nature's perfect storm, again. Two storms have already made landfall in Florida this season: Francine (2024) & Helene (2024). Milton (2024) will be the third. Plan for the worst, hope for the best.

It was announced that the attendance at today’s Astros/Tigers Game 1 was 40,617. Minute Maid Park capacity is listed as 41,000. Based on a quick study done by the University of My Eyeballs, there is no way that park was at 99% capacity. Regardless, LFG, @astros!
