Another member of Congress just got caught buying the exact kind of stock their committee oversees.

Representative Maria Salazar of Florida just filed a purchase of Marvell Technology $MRVL, one of the largest semiconductor and AI infrastructure companies in the country.

Here’s the conflict:

Salazar sits on the House Financial Services Committee and the Subcommittee on Capital Markets, the body that directly oversees the SEC and the rules that govern stock trading itself.

So a Representative who helps write the rules for capital markets is also actively trading the stocks those rules apply to.

A regular investor doing this with the same access would be in handcuffs.

A member of Congress does it and files a one-page disclosure.

🚨 SUSPICIOUS TRADE ALERT

Rep. Maria E. Salazar just reported up to $390k of trades.

The report includes a purchase of $MRVL on April 6th.

On April 19th, $MRVL reported a collaboration with $GOOGL on AI chip development.

The stock is up 54% since.

Rep. Salazar sits on the Capital Markets subcommittee, which directly oversees semiconductor capital markets and investment policy.

@faris4senate_ky No. It's not. You don't treat anyone's first ammendment rights like that. But, congressmen, who are elected to represent our interests, especially. I am a Kentuckian, and a former Republican. I don't see the Epstein files, or the first ammendment, as a partisan issue.
