@Nobleshield I am astounded that players show up to play a game and then don’t want to engage with the actual game. Do they ever read a headline and think, that article sounds interesting, and then read it? Same concept.
@AgrivarDragon My argument is that Dwarves and Elves are innately good alignment wise. Humans aren’t. A human has to strive for goodness (and law). They have to go against their nature to do the right thing and the gods they serve reward this effort of constant struggle against nature.
@WithNightDanger@Dungeoneerhere Genuinely happy for you man. It is such a great game. I know you already have characters but if you can get your hands on the Character Pack for 1e, it is fantastic for character building.
@WithNightDanger@Dungeoneerhere After our first year of the campaign most the players were playing their sons and by the end of the second year it was grandsons. We had to make family trees to prevent inbreeding amongst the players families but they all had substantial holdings and titles by the time of Mordred
@Gingerblast Five plus decades and I can attest that I have never heard this phrase, “Women don’t actually like games—they only start playing to hook up with guys.”
@Gingerblast In Pendragon you want to produce heirs, but even then sexuality isn’t a factor and doesn’t matter because I don’t want to know what the characters do in the bedroom. I only want to know if they keep a watch and if so, in what order.
@osgamer74 I know the world must think we are all crazy. But most of us are just under the rule of about 30 percent of the population who seem to control our election primaries or who choose not to have primaries at all.
@Gingerblast History. It doesn’t have to be deep but even knowing what is considered common knowledge helps. History can be something that helps unify the people or explain bitter hatred and rivalries and explain why things are the way they are.
@TimONeill007 You think the first crusade ever happens to be the one to the Holy Land? Okay, I see you don’t know history. Sorry. No point continuing. By the way Alexander also blessed the Norman Crusade against the oath breaker Harold Godwinson, since he was allied with the Normans.
@TimONeill007 Your long argument boils down to disagreeing with this particular phrase? “The First Crusade was an audacious and courageous strike against a force that the crusaders felt menaced all Christendom.”
@TimONeill007 Well he did send Crusaders in 1066 to Iberia but that is *BEFORE* the First Crusade just like the Kingdom of Asturias wars of the Reconquest.
@TimONeill007 Pope Calixtus II allowed Crusaders to fulfill their vows in Iberia as well as the Holy Land. Iberia is in Western Europe and the Second Crusade called Crusaders to retake Iberia and they were successful in Lisbon.
