The drive-through pneumatic tube at a community bank comes back with a dog biscuit in it because Kathy saw the golden retriever in the back seat and remembered his name. That bank also has a board made of a funeral home owner, two farmers, and a guy who sells insurance, and they can override the credit score in the room, out loud, because they know your cousin declared bankruptcy and you didn’t. When the regional acquires them, lending authority moves 200 miles to a committee that has never seen the county. The dog biscuits go first. Then Kathy takes early retirement. Then the tube gets capped because the drive-through is “underutilized.” Then the loan you would have gotten becomes a decline letter generated at 3am by a model that has priced your town as a risk category. Nobody voted for this. It arrived as an efficiency.
Agricultural banks are the last place in finance where underwriting still means knowing whether a man is good for it.
The collateral is dirt. Dirt doesn’t get disrupted. Dirt has been going up in Iowa for a hundred years. And the loan officer went to high school with the borrower’s father, which is a credit model no risk system has ever beaten.
The grain bin you built ten years ago is the best decision you've made if it gets you off the harvest delivery curve.
Selling at harvest is selling the bottom on purpose.
The bin pays for itself the first time you carry a crop into spring and hit a real basis.
We should cut the waste, fraud and corruption in America. Once we do, we should immediately eliminate all income taxes for anyone earning $150k or less.
You are a sick disgusting person. You haven’t created anything in your life except overseeing the downfall of Minneapolis and giving tampons to young boys
You are cheering for the downfall of American jobs and innovation.
This is the state of the Democrat party.
By the way, you could have used a self driving Tesla that night you got a DUI and almost killed someone.
Tim Walz brags about Tesla’s stock price falling. Democrats are now rooting against one of the most successful companies in American history — an electric vehicle company! — because they’re mad @elonmusk is cutting waste and fraud. True insanity.
BREAKING: DOGE is looking into federal workers who have a high net worth despite having a low salary, according to Elon Musk.
🔥🔥
"We find it sort of rather odd that there are quite a few people in the bureaucracy who who have a salary of a few hundred thousand dollars, but somehow manage to accrue tens of millions of dollars in net worth."
"We're just curious as to where it came from..."
The CFPB is NOT funded by Congress but by the Federal Reserve, an intentional gambit by Democrats that allows CFPB to evade Congressional oversight. But that’s a double-edged sword: if it isn’t funded by Congress, that means a President doesn’t need Congress to defund it either.
Connecting the dots:
(1) You work your ass of, with no real wage growth over the past many years.
(2) The government takes more and more of your money through taxation, telling you it all goes to a good cause and you will reap the benefits.
(3) Nothing actually gets better so you start to question wether this is just a huge grift.
(4) DJT promises to take a wrecking ball to all of it. He doesn't hide his intensions and his transparency gets him elected with a landslide and without a shadow of doubt.
(5) The wrecking ball arrives via Elon and his Gang of Five and you start to learn that your money was being used to create and sustain a shadow government. Your money was being pilfered by unelected bureaucrats to prop up organizations domestically and abroad to do their bidding - Politico, NYTimes, NGOs. The list goes on and on.
The only questions left are how far the rot goes and how complete the removal of this cancer will be.
This is not a Republican or Democrat issue anymore, its common sense.
I used to listen to All-In Pod as a ballast to my right-wing echo chamber.
Everyone had their favorite bestie and mine was @DavidSacks. I loved the pod because I could always count on the other guys to push back against Sacks’s point of view (which generally aligned with mine), and so it was a great way to test my views in the crucible of unreconstructed liberalism.
Fast forward to today. It’s crazy how everyone has just converged to the right, coalescing around Trump’s vision.
The realignment feels so complete. Some members of the press have been screaming “oligarchy” but I for one am happy to see this unity because this is the frontier of our rivalry with China. Tech is the battleground. And having a coordinated tech policy with the titans of US innovation will make us stronger
If you don't like my political rants don't watch this. But how can Kamala Harris keep calling herself the candidate of change when she is the sitting VP? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Vote for whoever you want but I had to point out how crazy it is.
Ps - I know people are gonna say Trump is the worst candidate of all time and you're entitled to your opinion but he has won the nomination 3 times fair and square. Kamala has never had a vote cast for her yet.
VP Harris asserted in Arizona that CBP needed more resources.
We have apprehended over 8 million illegal immigrants over the last 4 years and now you realize we need more help 38 days before the election.
