Charlie Carter
Backstop returning to OSU for his Sophomore season who has shown to have Big League defensive skills & an offensive game with tons of potential. OSU's pitching staff last year relied heavily on movement, and then making pitches look like strikes, but then moving them out of the zone. On many occasions, especially in 2 strike counts, that meant burying balls in the dirt, and NO ONE is better than Charlie Carter at smotherin' balls in the dirt.

The "Tools of Ignorance" are also known as the "Tools of Excellence", the latter being the correct description of the Little Rock, Arkansas native.

Carter has been playing in the Appalachian League for the Danville Otterbots this Summer in Danville Virginia. The App is a Collegiate League that has been around forever, but has seen many different carnations. Currently it's part of the MLB Prospect Development system & features some of the top college freshmen & sophomores in the country.

And, another SUPER COOL fact, he's playing for former Cowboy great Mickey Tettleton. So he's getting to face "elite" competition, and getting "elite" instruction while doing so.

Carter & Tettleton have been working hard together this summer to improve the young backstops skills in both hitting & catching.

Carter is a tireless worker, and has work ethic in abundance. He also has a "team first" attitude & has shown to be willing to do whatever the team needs to best help win a game & the program as a whole.
