@danmcglone @jongeeting @Johnbrown1860 The best initiative I could think of would definitely involve PWDs sewer replacement program, since bumpouts and GSI can share a space, which seems like an easy win. They're certainly not common in the city but they do exist- would certainly like to see this on a larger scale

@danmcglone @jongeeting @Johnbrown1860 I'd hazard a guess that the department "most" responsible for bump outs is the survey district as they'd have to approve city plan changes, but I don't think there's any engine in the city to actually create bumpouts, unless a private developer *really* wants them.

@jongeeting Though your follow up tweet makes an excellent point, lol. There are definitely a good amount of ZBA variances that I've worked on for increased density (including one right now) though a lot of ZBA requests are still over things that are absolutely asinine.
