For last week's super low tides and in advance of our September bioblitz with @false_creek, a group from Hakai, False Creek Friends, and @ZoologyUBC forayed into the False Creek intertidal in Vancouver.

Grateful to have friends who help me with my field work and make me laugh while doing it. @bickell_andrew got a great shot of this ~9 month old barnacle test still standing (centre of photo)! It was heavily deteriorated but still provided shelter for several periwinkle snails.

Getting mesmerized by the incredible Spider-Man impressions by many tiny marine inverts who utilize the strong cohesive properties of water 🌊💪. If look closely you can see this shaggy dove snail (I think) pulling and distorting the water molecules near the end of its foot 🦶🐚!
