After striking out at a few sites we finally hit the crab jackpot! It’s been an all hands on deck situation measuring their pee and I’m SO grateful to @kiarakattler, @bickell_andrew, @ElizabethOishi and Bridget for helping out!
Seeing is believing! Incredible day helping @CarterBurtlake with his project studying how mortalities of Acorn barnacles construct microhabitats for small invertebrates. Been hearing about this project for 9 months but one day in the field has me stoked!
We're @BamfieldMSC and into the thick of our field season!
On top of dive surveying at 30 sites, our team will be measuring canopy kelps in the coming weeks 🌱
Delving deeper into kelp-community relationships!

The gang’s all here! The whole Côté lab Bamfield squad went out to collect clams this morning, proving that teamwork does make the dream work. And a warm welcome to Twitter, @bickell_andrew!
Bioacoustics survey on a sunny day in Bamfield. This research vessel is sleek and quiet so I can listen to the ocean for hours 🌊🎵🎧. Continuing my search for the mysterious popping noise 🍿🦐! @BamfieldMSC
