NEW PAPER!
I am so thrilled to share my 1st paper from PhD! It represents YEARS of learning how to do #science 🤓🐚🎓🌊
We studied #ClimateChange vulnerability in populations of a marine snail and found stark results for life in the #SalishSea. A 🧵

A photo of our recent trip to Carrie Bow Cay, Belize with the @smithsonian won first place in the @SFUBioSci photo contest
Fantastic to see @EmGLim's surreal subtidal science skills and my half-decent ability to click camera buttons recognized
We are pleased to announce the winners of our Fourth Annual Photo Contest. Thank you to everyone that submitted a photo. There were many exceptional photographs, and we will celebrate all the submissions via the department website and social media in the coming weeks.
Finally vindicated in saving all my manuscript drafts in my GitHub repo! I wanted to look at an old version of a draft and I was able to go back through my commit history to find it. Thanks, GitHub!
#ADHD rant: Lately I’ve been breaking up my work days into 1-2 hour blocks to work on specific tasks tied to a to-do list. Each task is small, clearly defined, and time-boxed so it’s easier to make myself work on one thing at a time. Plus Adderall helps! (1/4)
Silver lining: in the midst of bouncing between ideas, I potentially discovered an interesting interaction in my data??? So maybe my #ADHD brain is a blessing and a curse... (4/4)
I finally got my lab website @Concordia up and running. Check it out and drop me a line if you're interested in working with me on the interactive effects of climate change and invasive species on native biodiversity in coral reefs. https://t.co/TANFKEaqtS
"There are few feelings that rival the excitement of discovering something new for the first time, and being able to share that with someone is a gift," says Excellence in Science Outreach student award recipient @EmGLim. https://t.co/4UPmAppOIE
Happy non-BEEnary day from me and this ginormous bee I accidentally catfished with my “Avant Garden” costume at Bass Coast this yeah. It’s been nice feeling real comfy in my non-binary gender lately 🥰 #NonBinaryPeoplesDay
I just wrapped up the last field season of my PhD! Feeling super grateful for 4 wonderful summers of data collection at @BamfieldMSC alongside some incredible people. Sad this part is my degree is over, but excited to dive into the next stage
One of the best parts of working with crabs is feeding each one of them their lil salmon chunk and watching them get SO EXCITED as unimaginable riches fall right into their claws
I am FINALLY going through my photos from year 3 of the @ReefLifeSurvey Bamfield Blitz hosted at @BamfieldMSC by @jasschuster and @AmandaEBates's lab! Stay tuned for many more photos of neat creatures
That feeling when your animals use their artificial habitat exactly as you envisioned 😍 It’s like building a bug hotel as a kid, but for adult scientists!!!
