@baldusi @AlexHollings52 True, but the Columbia program itself, not counting the SLBMs, is already expected to be aprox. the same size as the overbudget totality of Sentinel program. The 12 hulls will cost 128 billion, before any delays or cost overruns. Sentinel, after both, sits at 140 billion.

OTD in 1958: the keel was laid at EB for Skipjack-class submarine USS Scorpion (SSN-589).
On May 22, 1968 Scorpion was lost with all hands, 99 submariners On Eternal Patrol.

On the USAF Budget of FY2026, P-1 exibit, page 5, Line 10, the USAF claims to have procured in that year 3010 Cruise Missiles from the FAMM family for 656 million. Making it 218 thousand per CM.

Even if the F-117 and B-2 menaged to evade total public view by *about* a decade which, careful observers knew of their existance even without images, much like RQ-180.
