If I’m Bill Guerin I’m at least making a call to seattle on Shane Wright to see what it would take, see if they can get more out of him, motivated player #mnwild
Larkin has a full no move, this is an insane price. He controls where he wants to go. If he says Minnesota is it. Then the Red Wings will take what they can get. And it wont be the entire war chest like this suggests
My big news: I've left The Athletic because they wanted me to stop covering the Twins.
I refused to give up my dream, so I'm betting on myself and returning to my independent roots.
I need your support to make it work. Join me and let's do this together: https://t.co/osUsyR3GwG
Ahcan was on the ice a good bit later than Blankenburg, so I doubt he will make his playoff debut tonight. And it looks like Scott Wedgewood is in net based on his crease.
Makar didn’t skate yesterday or this morning but Bednar said yesterday he anticipated him playing.
This afternoon, Athletics Director Holly Schreiner introduced SCSU alum, Nick Oliver as the next head coach for the Men's Hockey team.
We're happy to welcome Nick and his whole family back home to St. Cloud State University!🐾 🏒
Very exciting news. Coach Oliver was a pleasure to cover when he was the Assistant coach. I can’t wait to see where this takes Huskies hockey! (And I hope that is not Nick leaving us for the U in 8 years)
A new era of #HuskyHockey! Welcome 𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐄, Coach Oliver!
Former Husky captain and assistant returns to become the fourth head coach of the D-I era!

(not april fools)
The names that I have been consistently hearing from multiple sources as the finalists for the St. Cloud State job are Nick Oliver, Jason Herter, and Travis Winter. Still awaiting an official announcement from the school.
I’m not saying you fire Johnathon Hynes in Minnesota but I do question if he’s the coach that you pitch to sell Quinn Hughes on resigning long term. Let’s see how the playoffs go but I’d be monitoring the situation. I’d be eyeing David Carle. He’d open up the game and playing style more. It’s like when you go to heated yoga. You leave and your hip flexors are just a little more opened up. It’s the same crusty old body but you feel like a new chin. The next day you go out and shoot your best round in years because of the warrior 2 in the 105 heat. It can do wonders. No disrespect to Hynes but historically his brand of hockey reminds me how The university of Wisconsin men’s basketball team used to play under Bo Ryan. The boring bland vanilla style, It can get you places like the second or third round, but I’m not convinced it can win a chip. I would also coach the team but I won’t take anything less than a 5 year deal.

I understand the budget SCSU has to work with. But how is there not kill switches in these contracts that if the head coach leaves, the school can void them. I’m sure these assistants don’t really want a HC that didn’t pick them either
Did lots of digging yesterday and was hearing that some potential candidates declined interviews/said they weren’t interested because the school would prefer to keep the current assistants on board for next year.
Still working on confirming the front runner applicants…
