Yesterday was a big day at Lake Waconia Regional Park! We celebrated the groundbreaking of the Waterfront Service Center. We're anticipating construction to now start in the next week!
Cross-Country Ski and Snowshoe rental will be available Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 4pm at Lake Minnewashta and Baylor Regional Parks starting January 1st (if weather permits). For details, visit our Winter Recreation Page: https://t.co/uGmDddKnNA
A strong crew of club members canoed out to Coney Island and teamed up with @CarverCoParks to make improvements. After transplanting some lilies and pulling invasive buckthorns, we got a tour of the island. Then finish with a delicious meal of cheap but perfectly charred hotdogs.
Rentals will be closed Saturday and Sunday due to extreme cold.
However, rentals are planned to resume next weekend and continue through March 7th if snow conditions allow.

Due to cold conditions, there will be no equipment rental available at either Lake Minnewashta or Baylor Regional Parks.
However, we will be open Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm as usual.
We love our winter walkers but walking on groomed ski trails will make them unusable. If you see parallel tracks pressed into the snow, you are on a ski trail and we ask that you please use other trails available in the park. Thank you!

XC Ski and snowshoe rentals start this Saturday (Jan. 9) at Lake Minnewashta and Baylor Regional Parks! Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm while snow conditions allow.

Cross County Ski Trails have not been groomed. Additionally the sledding hill remains closed for safety.
