Shout out to the Waconia High School Conservation Club! They and CO Alec Birdsall brought axes and hammers, gloves and shovels, and picked up – or chiseled out – litter others left behind on Lake Waconia. Great example of the role everyone plays in protecting natural resources!
The WHS Conservation Club’s annual Ice Clean Up will be featured on Minnesota Bound tonight after the 10pm news on @kare11!!! For those of you headed to bed early on a school night, he story will air again next Saturday(3/4) at 6:30! @WaconiaSchools
It was an absolute pleasure talking to @OutdoorTrav about getting kids into the great outdoors. If you’re interested in the fun things our kids get to do with the Waconia High School Conservation Club, give the “Cheers to Volunteers” episode a listen. https://t.co/i0rLvwkWyI
The @whsconservation hosted an Educational Earth Day/Arbor Day with 4th graders yesterday at the Bayview Forest. 🌳 At the end, each student received a pine tree to take home compliments of SouthPoint Financial Credit Union! #EarthDay2022 🌎 #plantatree 🌱 #WeareONE10
Lake Waconia Ice Clean Up was a big success! With the help of some community members, who had already picked up a lot of the trash, we left our beloved lake a little better than we found it. Finally, a big thanks to Troy from MN Bound for joining us on our annual clean up!
Ice Clean Up tomorrow from 10-noon! If you can please bring an ATV, gloves, boots, and something(spud bar, chisel, claw hammer, flat bar, etc.) to chisel trash out of the ice. Be at the Lakeview Terrace Landing by 10AM.

We had a fantastic time “learning to fall gracefully” and then later gliding through the woods on cross country skis at Baylor Park. Thanks a bunch to @CarverCoParks for putting on such a fun event!
