Firstly, thank you for your support to every player who's worn that famous Claret and Blue over the years, all I can say is that through some of my darkest days, Villans have supported me and sent the loveliest messages so I hope the ones you're now getting from Villans everywhere will fill your heart, we're a grand old club with a grand old support and one thing I learned is we look after our own, so please know that as I'm writing this and in the coming days, at least one loudmouth Villan from Cannock will be thinking of you.

I'm glad you feel the club is in good hands and you're feeling happy and thrilled about the future, you're a part of it, today, tomorrow and in 100 years time because without the players who play and supporters who give their money, time and support there would be no club, so be certain that in those 100 years from now when 99% of us reading this will be hopefully watching the world from the comfort of a cloud, Aston Villa Football Club exists only because of people like you. That's the truth. So thank you.
