Andor was a half a billion dollar project focusing on a character not many people were crazy about and was written as a response to the political crisis happening in the real world. It almost didn’t get made because none of the executives thought it would work. TLJ was a continuation of a trilogy with legacy characters millions of people loved. Andor was absolutely the biggest risk lucasfilm has made in terms of projects.

From my (critical, secular, non-Muslim) perspective, it's always been strange how Islam is perhaps the only major religion to explicitly condemn racism - as in Muhammad's last sermon, where he says an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, a white no superiority over a black, etc, except through piety - yet racism is so entrenched in the Arab world and also Pakistan.
