I got home from work and found this on the counter. Good kid.

[Josh Reddick @JRedDubDeuce]

How do you give a guy $325 million without ever throwing a pitch in MLB

[- Casey - @CaseyAtTheBall]

This is my first time actually sitting down to watch a postseason game in 2026.

What on earth is @NBCSports doing with four voices talking at us?!? Matt Vasgersian is doing his best to hold it together, but what a terrible idea.

[- Casey - @CaseyAtTheBall]

@DaveProbably Will Klein, our totally expected Dodger hero.

[- Casey - @CaseyAtTheBall]

@purpledrank0 @mike_petriello After so many years, Mike has offered to have Drank on the MLB Network for intellectual baseball talk, right?? Right???

[- Casey - @CaseyAtTheBall]

@ChadMoriyama Jon SooHoo and a fellow Dodger employee with half the time on the job

[- Casey - @CaseyAtTheBall]

@ByMcCullough “Andy McCullough did…”

[- Casey - @CaseyAtTheBall]

@mike_petriello I’ll stop now. 🙂

[- Casey - @CaseyAtTheBall]

@mike_petriello …or they’re both bad deals?

[- Casey - @CaseyAtTheBall]

@atk825 @mike_petriello ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Alrighty then. We’ll see what happens.

[- Casey - @CaseyAtTheBall]

@atk825 @mike_petriello At 15yrs/$765MM with no deferrals….he needs to hit at an MVP level ALL of the years…if he gets to simply be a serviceable outfielder.

[- Casey - @CaseyAtTheBall]

@atk825 @mike_petriello Agreed. I was just responding to Mike’s statement about 500+ HR’s and setting a BB’s record.
Personally, Soto is not a player that I’d invest that level of money on. His gifts at the plate are legit, but being a corner OFer that profiles as a DH sooner than later…I’m out.

[- Casey - @CaseyAtTheBall]

@lsuzuki @capnsparrow23 Just now seeing this in the aftermath of Freddie’s dinger. I imagine Cap’n logging on just to ridicule Aaron Boone tomorrow morning. RIP

[- Casey - @CaseyAtTheBall]

Kirk Gibson 2.0

[- Casey - @CaseyAtTheBall]

@andylanechapman I mean, Aaron Judge is wonderful, honestly. He played college baseball in my town and no one has a single bad word about the guy.

[- Casey - @CaseyAtTheBall]

@DaveProbably @andylanechapman That’s truly awful.

[- Casey - @CaseyAtTheBall]

@andylanechapman I’ve also never met the man. He might be a swell guy.

[- Casey - @CaseyAtTheBall]

@andylanechapman - Yankee
- The Soto Shuffle
- Seems like a fake tough guy.
- I like emotional, fun baseball, but his whole schtick seems more performative than emotional. It’s all theatrics to me.
