@LukeKerrDineen Do you have a drill that can be done on the range that focuses on getting that face square at impact consistently? I think that is my next focus on my journey to improvement.
FIELD UPDATE

I’m late to @YouTube golf, so I finally checked out the @bryanbrosgolf channel.
A few videos in—Make the Cut, The Q—and I was in.
Not because of the shots. Those are absurd. The kind where you just nod like you understand what happened. “Yeah, perfect little hold-off fade.” I have no idea what that means in real life.
It was the feel of it. The way they move through a round. Loose, competitive, but never taking themselves too seriously. It felt familiar. Like the rounds I used to play growing up with friends in Charlotte, where the score mattered… but not enough to ruin a perfectly good Saturday.
They have fun. They respect the game. And somehow they make you feel like you’re part of it.
That’s what got me. I don’t usually watch full videos. I bounce around. Skip ahead. I treat most content like I’m speed-dating it. But with these guys, I stay. I watch the whole thing. Because it’s not just golf—it’s the rhythm of a round, the conversations, the small moments in between shots. The stuff you forget until you see it again. The jokes. The jabs from @wesleybryangolf. The one guy who swears he “never does this” right before doing exactly that.
And it brought something back.
Not the swing. Let’s not get carried away. That thing left years ago and didn’t leave a forwarding address. But the reason I used to play in the first place—that showed up.
So now I’m back out there with a different mindset. Less about chasing what I used to be. More about enjoying what the game still gives.
Be like Georgie on the course.
Have fun. Compete. Don’t make it heavier than it needs to be.
Only difference is… George can actually hit a driver straight.
I’m still out here playing a fun little game called “find it and hit it again.”
Progress is being measured in how many sleeves of balls I don’t have to open.
@JG7tv@PensDen@NHL Coming from a Rangers fan here I completely agree man. They have had the most freezing cold takes ive ever seen in the past 4 years when we were constantly doing battle in the first round
You would think Matt dragged Alex’s dead body around TPC Louisiana with the way this story’s been covered.
You can’t shoot -31 alone. 10 birdies from Alex in Four Ball. He’s a great player in his own right and is absolutely deserving of a Tour card.
Awesome story 👏
It’s about time I see a post worded this way. I keep seeing that Matt Fitz won his brother a tour card, but that is doing Alex a massive injustice. Alt Shot is a brutal format and he played awesome. He earned and deserves that card, it wasn’t just handed to him for free.
