All cars should be no bigger than Smart cars and have a max speed of 25mph. I don't propose this out of environmental or safety concerns, I just think it would be funny and upset a lot of people I don't like.
look, dad, i know they used to call them "moments of zen" on the daily show but they're "future adam curtis b-rolls" now and they're a Symptom of Decline
This is total bollocks from @EnvAgency. They don’t need teams of drone pilots to identify illegal waste dumping, they just need to actually act when members of the public inform them of illegal waste dumps, as they almost always do.
Pretty much every one of the large recent dumps which have hit the headlines were reported. Hoads Wood was reported within days, but the EA did nothing for six months & allowed 30,000 tonnes of waste to build up. The recent dump next to the River Roding was reported a year ago, but the EA did nothing until I set up a petition & called the media.
The public can sense the utter failure of the EA on this issue, which is why the petition to stop illegal waste dumping has now surged to nearly 20,000 signatures; do sign it if you haven’t already. The key ask is pretty simple: the EA must have a legal duty to shut down illegal waste dumps within 3 days of being notified of them and to have a duty to remove any waste dumped on sites after this date. This simple rule will do far more than drones will.

“hey dude, how’s it going?”
yeah pretty good, i’ve started to get this kind of gnawing dread every time i throw a little piece of plastic in the bin and i vividly visualise billions of people doing the exact same thing for decades but other than that pretty good, how about you?
