Zach Lahn's big victory, much like Ken Paxton's, is yet another reminder that establishment arguments about "electability" have always just been ways to scare voters into voting for their preferred candidate. Mobilizing the coalition that it takes to win competitive races starts by having a candidate that the conservative grassroots is excited to vote for; not somebody who's just going to be another useless cog. Thankfully, Red State primary voters are waking up.

This is the most underreported fact in politics right now.

There are THOUSANDS of these "moderate Republicans" in our state legislatures. Yes, THOUSANDS. Red states, blue states, purple states.

These fake Republicans are decent enough on life and gun issues, and I use the word "decent" charitably, that they have convinced the voters that they are conservative.

But they conspire with the actual Democrats to form a Uniparty that grows state government.

In red states, it's truly offensive because Republicans often have supermajorities that are entirely capable of passing amazing, glorious conservative priorities. But they don't because the Uniparty in charge serves the special interests who fund their campaigns instead of the conservative voters who elected them. So they rob your wallet and restrict your liberties.

Case in point - Democrats in the Texas House were never punished for leaving the state over the redistricting fight last year. Why? Because Speaker @Burrows4TX relies on the Democrats to keep his power structure in place. He has to keep them mollified if he wants to remain Speaker.

In blue and purple states, the fake Republicans operate as the "loyal opposition". They support the Democrats' agenda or they quietly oppose it. You see, if they don't put up too much of a public fight, they still get their pork projects and corporate welfare that their special interest masters ask them to secure.

Case in point - 16 Republicans including minority leader, Delegate Jason Buckel, voted for the Wes Moore Democrat budget in Maryland. No self-respecting conservative Republican would do that. But these fake Republicans did because they are in on the scheme. The @MDFreedomCaucus refuses to play this game and they are very public about the fake Republicans' deception.

The only way...the ONLY WAY...to stop this, in my opinion, is an "inside and outside" strategy where State Freedom Caucus lawmakers (the "inside") work with grassroots activists, groups like @TPUSA and others (the "outside"), to expose this deceit.

I believe this strategy has been proven correct. The amazing men and women of the @WYFreedomCaucus started out with just 8 members in 2022, but by implementing this strategy, they took control of the Wyoming state house in 2024. And since then they have enacted conservative priorities like lower property taxes, school choice, capped spending growth, and a whole lot more.

Our other state freedom caucuses are following the same blueprint but the Uniparty still clings to power in those states. Eventually, however, conservatives will win. It's up to us to determine how quickly it can be done.

Many of the left-wing journalists that attended the WHCD have spent years consistently calling President Trump a “Nazi”, a “threat to democracy”, and “Hitler”, yet they still joyfully attended the evening’s event….

If they truly believed their own rhetoric, they’re either joyfully willing to have dinner with “Hitler” or they’re lying to radicalize American citizens with narratives they know are grossly exaggerated.

I'm disappointed to see the latest right-wing civil war devolve to the point that people are calumniating @ISI and @JohnnyBurtka (of all people!) as somehow subversive or outside the bounds of conservatism.

ISI under Johnny's leadership has not only continued but grown in its position as an invaluable intellectual resource and incubator of talent on the Right. Over just the last year or so, I've had the privilege of speaking at several ISI events, including a lecture on Dante for their honors program.

The perennial and necessary task of delineating the boundaries of the conservative coalition has predictably degraded into opportunistic factional in-fighting. But if the serious intellectual environment cultivated by Johnny and ISI has no home on the Right, then there's no coherent Right of which to speak.
