@alisontalks @Kristin_wrote @AlisonAgosti Hmm. Perhaps an amusment that lingers and one mulls over ponderously and continues to find pleasure in, even if it's not a laugh-out-loud-inducing joke?
when we stopped literally demonizing and torturing left handed people, the number of them on record shot up, because people felt safer admitting it
the actual proportion of left handed people in society didn't change, and right-handed kids were not 'groomed' to left handedness
Cats are so affectionate. Literally my cats follow me from room to room just to be in the same room and get upset if we canβt cuddle like 3 times a day minimum
I'm teaching biology to non majors this semester & for the last lab they're planning a native plant landscape design. Can't tell you how adorable it is to hear all these frat dudes & burly bros talking about "oooo how cute is this shrub!?" "Yo this tree is really pretty" π₯Ήπ₯°
@SunshineMenezes I also like to improvisedly revise song lyrics to be about food instead of romance etc. π made for some fun car rides for my family/siblings
@SunshineMenezes I like to sing about cheese, or to my food in the microwave, and many other foods, about how good a job theyre doing getting ready to be eaten
"You're aromantic? But what about love?"
Love isn't just romantic but also the idea that falling in love determines someone's worth or happiness is incredibly harmful, romantic or otherwise. Being aromantic isn't a burden. We are whole and our identities are a part of that

Every time, I am disappointed.
@mykola This is such a huge thing for me. I often think I'm coping, with all sorts of things, and then later on I fall apart. Or else emotions get somaticised and I wonder why I'm in two or three different kinds of pain.
