If Democrats don’t plan to tax your retirement, why did they make sure their new income tax can tax your Social Security, 401(k), IRA, and pension?

They won’t even deny it, they’ll say, “Don’t worry, it only hits people making over $1 million.”

Okay. Then why did they make our retirement income taxable in the first place? That was a deliberate choice, not a mistake. Republicans tried to amend the bill to save retirement and they refused.
