Me and @jujuchangabc holding a Murrow award. We are 100% human and definitely not robots learning how to use our robot hands. Thank you @rtdna.rtdnf for this honor! https://t.co/fIu8xc19yX
#cassetteweekchallenge Day 2: Everyone is always eyeing my MC Shy D cassette, so my bruiser hound Nacho guards it whenever the doorbell rings. @ Brooklyn, New York https://t.co/jKZHERBHZO
Lou Ottens, who led the invention of the first cassette tape, has died at age 94, according to media reports.
"Next time you make that perfect playlist on Spotify, or send a link to share a song, you can thank Lou Ottens," filmmaker Zack Taylor tells NPR.

Noooo (if true)! If you've not seen the excellent Cassette: A Documentary Mixtape (@CassetteFilm), now would seem a good time to watch it (https://t.co/DD8yGBhRiL). Fascinating / charming insights from these old school Philips guys... #cassetteculture
Thank you @NPR.
I remember a few years ago after a screening in his native Holland, someone asked Lou: "Don't you think cassette tapes are romantic?" "Yes, perhaps," Lou responded, "like traveling to Amsterdam with a horse and buggy."

Thank you Anthony!
@mattbauermusic wrote and played all the guitar pieces. And Nature Program did all the analog synth stuff: https://t.co/bpyWxobBYb All of the songs in the film were recorded to tape before being digitized for the edit :)
@harryallen@amazon@PrimeVideo@Philips Hey Harry, thanks so much for watching! I wish I’d had access to more DJs as I was making the film. Honestly the cassette’s role in spreading hip-hop should have its own documentary! I smell a sequel.
