When registering covid tests, do any other Speech AND Language Therapists find this really frustrating?🥲
I guess this means we have to pick whether we work on speech sounds OR language skills !🤦‍♀️ no way can we support both🤷‍♀️

Hello! Does anybody have any resources/suggestions for teaching phonics to young Deaf children with additional LDs?
We currently use cued articulation with older students who want to work on speech but need an early years approach suitable for our younger students.

@debbiehepp Thank you so much Debbie, I will look into this! They already use Oxford Reading Tree in reading sessions so it would be nice to have continuity of the characters ☺️

Keri Opai helped devise words in the New Zealand native language Maori... emphasising "gaining strength and ability". The word for 'disabled' itself is 'whaikaha', which means to "have strength or to be differently able".

Today I ran the Great North Run for @percyhedley and it was such an amazing experience🌟 thank you to my wonderful friends and fam who supported me! And a huge thank you to my Dad. I wouldn’t have made it without his helping hand at the finishing line!! #TeamPercyHedley
