Photographer Cacky Rivers asked the town to help Jim Elliott of Birds of Prey get this eaglet back up to the nest on Founders Way. Fire Chief Mike Mixon took charge, got IOP to bring their bucket truck, our police managed traffic, and Chief Mixon reports, "The Eagle has landed."
@NWSCharlestonSC there is scattered vegetative debris (small, not obstructing traffic) on various parts of Sewee road in Awendaw. Appears to be from straight line winds. Trained spotter observed this morning. No photos as I was driving.
@humanworkplace The company I work for now is like that. I’ve had to take unexpected short notice time off for personal reasons and instead of questioning it they said yes and made sure my duties were covered while I was away.
@humanworkplace Especially during a pandemic when tons of people were laid off and those that weren’t are taking a break from being exhausted. I was personally laid off twice during the pandemic, both times I was exhausted from long hours and needed a break
@humanworkplace When I fell asleep at the wheel late at night after working a 72 hour shift with only taking naps. Then management made me come into the office at 0800 since everyone else was “too busy” to cover anything for me.
