In October, Catalyst Kitchens was thrilled to hold another in-person event for our members in Boise, Idaho! We held the Northwest Regional Summit, with host @LifesKitchen. It was amazing to see their students and kitchens in action, and to learn from their program team.

We also want to thank Columbia Industries, @PDXStoneSoup, @farestart, @kitchenheat, @CathCharitiesOR, Cafe Tuscano, and @IdahoStateU for attending and making it a memorable and idea-filled event.

- They help prepare food in Manna’s kitchen for Meals on Wheels, which provides and delivers meals for seniors. - They have developed numerous job placement avenues with employer partners into excellent careers
- Have adapted their program to serve a multi-lingual population.

On October 19th, @mannaonmain became the newest Model Member in the network. Staff members Justin Smith and Benita Brisco conducted a standards review of their program and operations, and found they were excelling in all areas of operation.

Some highlights of their work: - In 2016, Manna moved into a new, larger facility within North Penn Commons, which created the opportunity for Common Grounds to be launched that same year.
- Lead their community for important work like trauma-informed care practices.

Catalyst Kitchens was lucky enough this past month to again put on in-person events for our members! We kicked off with the Northeast Regional Summit, hosted by Foodbank of Delaware. It was amazing to see their students and kitchens in action, and to learn from their program.

24 years ago today, Second Helpings made our first delivery to #FeedIndy.

In our first month, we rescued 7,000 pounds of food and prepared 3,074 meals. In our most recent month, we rescued 340,388 pounds and prepared 96,205 meals.
