Two months ago, Rod Stewart was abandoned and in really bad shape. After two months of care, treatment, and recovery at Happy Doggo land, he’s fully back on his paws, and today he got the best news…
Rod has officially been adopted and is heading to his forever home in Ireland!
Onto your next adventure, sweet boy 💚
The new Irish Rail trolley service provider https://t.co/vvR3vurPSc has just updated its website with a full address!
Irish Rail Facilities, Production Kitchens, Heuston Station, Dublin 1 (no phone number)
We remain deeply concerned at the two apparent Linkedin profiles for the business name registrant Dave Lahart and are having difficulties verifying the Linkedin profile with catering experience (which only started in 2022, and no disrespect to Dave and his photo, but where is the rest of that career history)
And if it is the same Dave Lahart of OCS why does that profile (without a pic) say he continues to work at the company which provides services like security to Irish Rail.
It looks shady.
Remember, this is a €500,000 service (180 days at €2-3,000 a dayt).
And the buck stops with the Irish Rail CEO Mary Considine.
I just cancelled my National Lottery account.
Two reasons, basically:
1/ The payout as a percentage of the stake would shame the most corrupt casino.
2/ I will not see my money used for 'causes' like this.
Brittany Ferries has ended live animal transport following sustained pressure from animal welfare NGOs, including halting calf shipments from Ireland to France.
@Aidan_Regan@RTERadio1 There is strong empirical evidence that children raised in intact two parent families are much less likely to commit crimes. Marriage is associated with the durability of two parent families. So the argument is a reasonable one.
Great piece by Sarah Carey 👇. And what weird hold does @NWCI have on govt & therefore society?Absence of 'mother' execrable imo. Sarah Carey: Ireland’s national strategy on women doesn’t contain the word ‘mother’ – I’m not shocked, but I am insulted https://t.co/HARRRrTVBv
Aontú’s Cavan-Monaghan Senator, Sarah O’Reilly: “This kind of nonsensical crap bit by bit erases the existence of women by reducing us to ‘persons’ and is unacceptable.
It also brings gender ideology into the classroom […] indoctrination dressed up as inclusion.”
Remember when they sold us the slogan, “Go paperless, save trees, save the planet”? Now we've gone digital, and it's consuming enormous amounts of water, destroying ecosystems, harming bees, and contributing to environmental damage on a scale paper never did.
🚨BREAKING: The unedited transcript of Henry Nowak's murder has revealed his killer, Vickrum Digwa, told Police "he's not been stabbed, he's just pretending"
The transcript has also revealed that it was his brother Gurpreet who convinced Vickram to lie and claim Henry had been racist towards him
Gurpreet is still awaiting trial for his role in the events leading to Henry's murder
Genetically Modified Mayo: Hellmann's 'Real' Mayonnaise now requires a bioengineered label on its jars.
Less than 2% of each jar is egg... 98% is chemicals, oils, corn starch, EDTA & thickened with gums.
This isn’t food anymore — it’s a Frankenstein experiment in a jar. GMO corn, seed oils that inflame your arteries and disrupt hormones, EDTA that leaches minerals from your body, and synthetic gums that wreck your gut lining. Every spoonful is quietly feeding chronic disease, autoimmune chaos, and the slow poisoning of America’s families.
They slapped a “bioengineered” warning on it like it’s no big deal — because they know most people won’t read it. Hellmann’s sold its soul for profit while we were busy trusting the brand our grandparents used.
STOP FEEDING THIS TO YOUR KIDS.
Boycott it. Throw it out. Make your own in 60 seconds with real ingredients. Your body will thank you.
Quick Homemade Butter Mayo (Immersion Blender – makes about 1 cup)
Ingredients:
- 1 large egg (room temperature)
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard (or prepared mustard)
- ¼ teaspoon salt (or to taste; use ½ tsp if butter is unsalted)
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted and cooled slightly to warm (not hot)
Directions:
1. Place the egg, lemon juice, mustard, and salt in a tall narrow jar or container that just fits your immersion blender head.
2. Insert the immersion blender to the bottom and blend for a few seconds until combined.
3. With the blender running, slowly pour in the melted butter. Move the blender up and down gently as it thickens into creamy mayo (about 30-60 seconds total).
4. Taste and adjust salt or lemon if needed.
Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Rather than reflect about problems of lawlessness within their own community, Pavee Point calls for hate speech legislation and blames social media. https://t.co/zJp18Dyxke
🚨NEWS: The release of the transcripts around Henry Nowak's murder have revealed that Police Officers went back 6 years in his phone messages to when he was just 12 years old in an attempt to find anything they could use to describe him as a racist
Sickening
Do not mistake the publication of this piece as a sign that Ireland is ready to move on from woke. The Irish Times willingness to publish this after years of largely ignoring woke serves only to lull us into a false sense of security.
What the article calls woke was never the whole story. Those episodes were symptoms, not the cause. The actual problem is the social-constructivist theories of identity and power that became the dominant narrative for understanding reality, and the exaltation of subjective experience over objective truth. Those ideas were exported out of the academy and into institutions, policy, and schools - and that is the real source of woke, not isolated instances of woke insanity.
Ireland is nowhere near ready to turn its back on woke. Its deeply woven into governmental strategy documents such as the National Strategy for Women and Girls (intersectional feminism) and the Action Plan Against Racism (critical race theory). A decade of curricular reform has written these theories and more into frameworks and subject specifications. Children are literally being trained to become woke activists in school.
Woke is not over in Ireland. Instead, it is has been institutionalised. It will not be time to say good riddance until those theories are stripped out of government strategies, curriculum documents, and institutional policy, and until politicians stop talking as if looking at everything through that lens is the common sense, acceptable way to be.
I don't buy halal-certified food, so if Popeyes Ireland is going fully halal, they won't be getting my business.
I think it's time we had an online register of businesses in Ireland that sell or serve halal-certified food, stating clearly what certification and slaughter standards they use.
People can then make an informed choice about where they spend their money whether they specifically want halal food or, like me, specifically don't.
Consumer choice works both ways.
'The Ladies Gaelic Football Association is committed to inclusion'.
This has been the line used by LGFA management when responding to correspondence from members raising safeguarding concerns about males playing against females.
What is particularly shocking about this stance is that every competent administrator knows that exclusionary boundaries are fundamental to organised sport.
There are more than 350 exclusionary rules/conditions in Gaelic Games. For example:
Players are excluded from age and sex categories where they do not meet the required criteria.
Adults are excluded from carrying out certain roles involving children or vulnerable adults if they have not satisfied required vetting/safeguarding requirements.
Teams are restricted to an upper limit of 15 players on the pitch during play.
Everybody involved in Gaelic Games understands and accepts these exclusions.
Nobody says a 16th player is being mistreated because only 15 can start.
Nobody says a 20-year-old is being marginalised because she cannot enter an U16 competition.
Nobody says an unvetted adult has a right to coach children because “nobody should be excluded.”
Rather, we ask what the boundary is for. A reputable governing body will make an exclusion decision once it is satisfied the boundary causing the exclusion has a legitimate purpose, is proportionate and is applied fairly.
By the same token, a reputable governing body should not make an inclusion decision unless it is satisfied that someone else's existing opportunity, place, protection or boundary is not displaced.
When the principles of good governance and sporting integrity have been so wilfully ignored, 'the Ladies Gaelic Football Association is committed to inclusion' is nothing but a hollow phrase.
