Germline targeting is a major focus in HIV vaccine design. Scheepers et al show that for an MPER-directed antibody, convergent evolution & shared germline gene usage may not be enough to achieve neutralization breadth.

Wastewater results also show low amounts of SARS-CoV-2 throughout the country. But we’ll continue to monitor and will ramp up efforts if there are any signs of increases.
