@EmmaTolkin We had these reports daily when our twin boys were in their biting phase in crèche. Twin A bit twin B = 2 forms. Twin B bit back = 2 more forms. Repeat x 3+ times that day. And the next day. Silly amount of paperwork!! Crèche workers saw sense after about 3 days.
@AlanWhelanSF @MadiganDonal Would you post 'Man is a gender identity. Most commonly held but not limited to adult males, and is associated with certain traits and behaviours...' + give examples of said traits and behaviours' ??
@Witkicker@Darkut85@Rhawk187@johngreen No. How else would one expect a flash back to be depicted in a film? A film is made up of moving pictures. There is no other way in a film to show anything (flashbacks included) other than through imagery.
@Witkicker@Darkut85@Rhawk187@johngreen No it's really not like sandwiches.
People are different. We see things differently - literally and figuratively.
It's not cool to be dismissive, sarcastic, belligerent and unaccepting of other people and how they function.
@Witkicker@Darkut85@Rhawk187@johngreen You mean you can't visualise it?😆
People are different and our minds work in very different ways. The brain has countless neural pathways. No two people have the exact same neurology. Some use one part of brain or a process to visualise; others use a different part/process.
@Witkicker@Darkut85@Rhawk187@johngreen Yes, I can imagine that scene. I can imagine any object. I just imagine in a different way to you. Imagining for me ≠ actually seeing an image with closed eyes.
I can create an idea of the scene without seeing a picture of it.
@Witkicker@Darkut85@Rhawk187@johngreen You don't need to see what a word represents in order for the word to have meaning. You can't see analysis, discretion or sensibility or 100s of other abstract concepts, but we know what they mean.
@ErinMcGreehan None of that is true Senator. As one of your constituents, I'm surprised you've chosen to misrepresent our constitution like this on social media. This is misinformation.
@MargaWoods@ColetteColfer Typos happen Margaret. Slips also happen. And autocorrect often miscorrects.
Colette's article addresses a very serious issue around funding, freedom and crical thinking in higher education in Ireland today.
@wontsomeonethi2@ColetteColfer@Howlark1 Yes, the article is still online, but whoever runs the IT Twitter/X account deleted their post of the article. Curious.
Also curious is the fact that they didn't post the most-read article of Thurs and Fri.
@IrishTimes@ColetteColfer And now you've deleted your tweet of your article 'Taoiseach urges people to be more relaxed about preferred pronouns'. 🤔
The IT censoring its own articles?? 🤔
@IrishTimes Why have you not tweeted the article that has been your number 1 most-read today and yesterday?
Have you ever before chosen not to tweet your most-read article?
@ColetteColfer
@MaryMcAuliffe4 @DeclanFahie @CaraTDaly@ColetteColfer treats her students with respect and is inclusive. She uses students' preferred pronouns and names.
What she's asking is whether it's unlawful to use a wrong pronoun. A fair question.
Why are you insinuating she is not respectful or inclusive?
@eoinmauricedaly How unjust to post this! You know that Colette *does* refer to people by their preferred terms.
She's asking if it's truly unlawful to do otherwise.
You're a law lecturer – do you not agree with people seeking clarity on the law? Or do you just want to bully a female lecturer?
