The KKK were democrats. It’s an historical fact.
If in doubt google Bill Clinton’s eulogy for Robert Byrd who was the Democrat leader in the Senate. He basically said that Byrd was in the KKK earlier in his career but that was because to get anywhere in the Democrat party at that time you had to be in the KKK - or words to that effect.
