For the 32nd Saturday in a row, Parisians took to the streets to demand the end of COVID restrictions & vaccine passports. Except, this time, the police joined the protesters. Take a look.
@JonnyBowhunter The protesters aren't the ones being violent regardless of what @OttawaPolice are trying to say...
The violence is coming from the police. I look forward to your comments on this video...
Cheers.
I have received more calls and emails in opposition to Justin Trudeau’s Emergencies Act than perhaps any issue I’ve seen in 16 years. I agree with my constituents on this. It’s massive Liberal overreach, a dangerous precedent, and I will be speaking and voting against it.
As Convoy leaders are hauled away in handcuffs, PM Justin Trudeau can forever wear the stain of his precedent, where the government of the day can just decide to arrest protest leaders whose causes they don't like.
My business is 450 meters from Parliament Hill and we have been able to conduct business without issue today.
I was also able to drive around most of the downtown core with perhaps a minute or two of additional delay.
As an Ottawa resident, it’s so bizarre watching this thing unfold. Local news, city council are all “end of days, chaos and call in the army” but my Mom’s groups on Facebook are baking muffins, making sandwiches, sharing videos of singing protestors and doing trucker crafts 🇨🇦
I thought long and hard about how I would compose this next #COVIDGrifter 🧵.
I have a particular bone to pick with Abdu Sharkawy and I think the best way to air those grievances is to talk about myself a bit as well.
Here goes nothing.

It looks like the truckers are going to show up on time and are working within a self funded budget.
No wonder government hates them.
