This is a song I’ve sung to Jaden since he was a baby. Several years ago, he started to sing along with me.
People ask me all the time, “Does Jaden communicate with you?” The answer, of course, is yes. He just has his own mysterious and incredibly beautiful language. ❤️
Happy to celebrate #RedShirtDay2026 with my team, in support of the incredible work done by @EasterSeals in communities across our wonderful country! 🇨🇦

“Monday’s QP was the 123rd QP this Parliament.
Carney is not there (again). He's at a photo opp. He has been present for just 33 QPs or 26.8 %
Trudeau: Present for 51 (41.5%) of first 123 QPs.
Harper: 80 (65%) of his first 123 QPs”

Rod Brind'Amour shares the one question every competitor and great teammate needs to ask themselves.
"You just gotta ask yourself one question all the time - are you doing your part?"
"Whatever it is. It's not going right. Okay. Are you doing everything you can every day to make it right?"
"If the answer is yes - stick with it. Then stick with it. It'll either turn or it won't. But you can at least know there's nothing more you can do. Feel good about that."
It's about giving your best all the time.
Then he made it personal:
"Are you doing everything you can to be the best player you can be?"
"You'll know if you're not."
That's the question. Simple. Honest. And no hiding from it.
You can't control the outcome.
You can only control the effort and how you show up.

This is exactly what making Parliament work looks like - all hands on deck for ideas to solve the economic crisis in this country. I hope the Prime Minister @MarkJCarney responds positively. We should never forget that almost half the voters chose @PierrePoilievre and support his ideas. They also want to help make the country prosperous.
So let me get this straight...
Canada is in a recession—the only G7 country currently in one. Unemployment is up. Inflation is rising. Food insecurity is at a record high.
Yet the highest proportion of Canadians since 2017 now say the country is on the right track.
That's either a remarkable display of optimism—or a sign that many Canadians aren't getting the full economic story from the news they consume.
Posts like this one from Vancouver are profoundly unhelpful. ⬇️
What does one suppose the impact will be of scorn and ridicule launched from outside the province toward legitimately undecided Albertans?
@MikeLakeMP I am an undecided Albertan . Why is Alberta’s energy sector subjected to taxes , decarbonization and regulations and Eastetn Canada imports oil without carbon tax, environmental regulations or decarbonization
🎯
I believe in a strong Alberta helping fuel a strong, united Canada. We need more Canadians outside of Alberta who understand and articulate the critical point that John is making here.
The finger-wagging we’ve seen from (mostly) Liberal commentators is winning over literally zero undecided Albertans while, I’m sure, registering many enthusiastic social media clicks from their echo chambers.
To those folks, I say this: We desperately NEED you to listen thoughtfully to the legitimate and profound frustrations of Albertans. If your instinct in reading this is to take yet another shot, please stop and ask yourself if your response is increasing unity or driving division. 🇨🇦
Boom! John Ibbitson "Well, they are an angry people and they have every reason to be angry."
"From the time the provinces were founded, when Albertans, Saskatchewan, were not given the natural resources powers that other provinces had, to the latest regulation from Ottawa limiting the development of the oil sands for environmental or other reasons, Albertans have been put upon by a central Canadian elite, looks at them as something of a colony."
"And the result of that indifference and condescension from central Canada is this referendum on a referendum. We're responsible for that here in the center." @JohnIbbitson
Kyle Busch was driving down the road when he noticed the woman in the passenger seat next to him was wearing his hat and her reaction is priceless when she realizes
According to ChatGPT, Montreal is south of Toronto!
Context (and, I think a fun fact): The reason I asked this question was because I noticed that the western border of Quebec is actually further west than the CN Tower (and, therefore, if you head due north from the CN Tower, you’ll wind up Quebec, and for longer than you’ll be in Ontario).

@MikeLakeMP Since 1987 when each round became a best-of-seven series, this is the first instance of a Conference Final matchup featuring a team with the minimum games played (8 GP) against an opponent with the maximum games played (14 GP). Good question!
Sometimes being a good parent means signing your kid out of school with a
"serious" face... while hiding two Cubs doubleheader tickets in your pocket.
They won't remember the math lesson that day, but they'll remember the hot dogs, the crowd, and how you broke the rules just enough to make life feel big.
That's the stuff that sticks forever. ⚾️😃
