Today is #BellLetsTalk Day and I have a mental illness.
Tomorrow is Thursday and tomorrow, I will still have a mental illness.
True support and advocacy goes beyond 1 day and 1 hashtag.
We cannot just move on from our illness, so please don’t just move on from us.
#bellletstalk about how my concussion is not taken seriously because I don’t have a cast on my arm or tape on my ankle. taking care of our brains is every bit as important as taking care of our bodies 🧠💪🏼
When I call my mom to talk about how stressed I am
Mom: just focus on the things you can control, take it one thing at a time, don’t worry about the rest.
Me: I can’t help it, that’s just who I am.
Mom: I know.
#BellLetsTalk
wish people could understand that the brain is the most important organ of our body. Just because you can't see mental illness like you could see a broken bone, doesn't mean it's not as detrimental or devastating to a family or an individual.

You go to the doctor every year for a physical checkup. Whens the last time you went to see a counsellor/therapist/psychologist for a mental checkup? #BellLetsTalk
