China steals advanced technologies from the West. The Chinese company replicate them & the Chinese state subsidizes the stolen technologies.
That's Chinese success model for you!
@SinaToossi Every Gulf state issues de-escalation statements during active conflict. It's diplomatic boilerplate. UAE severed ties with Iran, reaffirmed $1.4T US investment commitment. Actions not press releases
@TheYorubaTimes He's right. But flow recovery and infrastructure integrity are different problems. Habshan-Fujairah pipeline was built for this. Access is the constraint, not capability.

Berlin airport currently has flights to just five long-haul destinations. Heathrow has around 100; even Warsaw has close to 20. Register for free to learn what it is holding the German capital back https://t.co/iA6LBdZDyj
@InfraNewsTube Hormuz is an insurance market problem, not a military one. Lloyd's pulled war-risk coverage, vessels became uninsurable. You don't fix that with naval escorts.
@woye1@MBuhari The UAE that signed this in 2018 isn't the same jurisdiction now. FATF grey list exit, actual bank penalties for AML failures. Mechanism is there now.
A couple of points that I have noted before:
1. The US is without any doubt the most brutally productive and efficient user of labor and capital of any major economy and no it isn't close.
2. Chinese economy wide productivity remains quite low and at best is very weak and quite possibly flat or negative.
3. Ask yourself how China is such an export power with such low productivity?
@iam_balaji Optionality is the right framing. Samsung can't match TSMC at the frontier despite spending more for longer. Being good enough as the alternative beats chasing the edge.
@addisstandard Mine claims don't change the commercial picture. P&I clubs cancelled coverage weeks ago. Nobody in shipping is waiting on CENTCOM. They're waiting on underwriters.
๐ The short- and medium-term supply outlook appears to have worsened considerably.
Constraints on sulphuric acid availability pose a significant risk to SxEW production.
Coupled with slower-than-expected recoveries from disruptions at major mines and an already tight market, the #copper market faces a strong set of near-term challenges.
