If the pandemic was over wouldn’t the curves have flattened out by now? Or is it the endemic phase wasn’t the panacea @fordnation@JustinTrudeau had hoped for? How long will they ignore the deaths of Canadians? Vaccines should be required in schools & masking too.

So sad: After 73 years of marriage, an Ottawa couple has been forced to live in separate long-term care homes for 19 months.
Why? Because the Ontario government has brought in changes which make it virtually impossible to unite couples in long-term care.
The system is broken.
In long-term care, do you think that only 1 nurse & 2 PSWs caring for 30+ frail elders who need assistance with bathing, feeding, toileting, dressing, taking meds AND monitoring in case of decline in health...is acceptable?
How do we as a society still allow this to happen?
Report on the costs of COVID misinformation in Canada:
*Led to more cases, hospitalizations & deaths
*Cost hundreds of millions of dollars
*Significant erosion of public trust
*Warrants a coordinated national response

Supporting #BellLetsTalkDay so they’ll have to donate💰but let me tell you, one key way to maintaining decent mental health at a population level is to provide people with decent work and too many politicians & their private company donors are intentionally failing here.
Over 1.8 million Ontarians don’t have a family doctor.
So the government’s health line is referring patients to a virtual-only physician service that charges $55 for a single live chat (not OHIP covered).
This is how they sneak in two-tier healthcare…right under our noses.
Influenza in Canada is in sharp decline and is "now below expected pre-pandemic levels".
Influenza-related hospitalizations for those <16 yrs are also way down.
This was almost exclusively Influenza A. Will we see Influenza B in the near future?
FACT: If Ontario's for-profit long-term care facilities had the same lower death rate as municipal long-term care, over 1,400 fewer people would have died in 2020.
So why on earth is the Ontario government expanding this failed model of for-profit healthcare elsewhere?
Toronto police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 44-year-old man bound under the Ontario Mental Health Act.

“The ER nurses have offered up more than 100 potential fixes to their unit's understaffing problems” but no one listened. So the nurses had a sit in & they all but shut down the ER. Guess what? Management is listening. #nursesknow#strike#standup https://t.co/l2qztB4UBO
LOBLAWS: is funding "Maple" a virtual-care that charges $69.00 for a Doctor's visit !! #CanadaHealthAct be damned. Not only are they #PandemicProfiteers, gouging us with food prices - now they're doing the same with healthcare
Nearly a decade after it closed its doors nationwide, Zellers is set to return to Canada with 25 new stores.

When you hear the government talk about expanding private for-profit healthcare, remember that this would:
- worsen health worker shortages in our public system
- divert public dollars towards corporate profits
- lead to a decline in the quality of care
Please…remember this.
