@clintwfischer Downsides are you should take crop insurance which is added expense and you have to have grain market knowledge and the desire/time to do it.

@clintwfischer In central SD that’s a fair net share lease, head east and the percentage gets higher. As a landowner if your share of an average crop at current price gets you the cash rent you would like only then would I consider it. Retain the upside if the market improves.
