UPDATES ON JOSIE'S CASE 1/2
🟢 Plumber visited Monday to fix issues in upstairs neighbour's bathroom
🟢Plasterer promised to come Tuesday or Thursday (weather-dependent) for repairs. He didn’t come Tuesday, so expecting him tomorrow.
Josie, a wheelchair user & council tenant in Mayfield, has faced over a year of neglect: damp, mould, leaks & now flooding. Her health is at risk, & the Council continues to ignore her pleas. #HousingRights#Cork
Josie’s story isn’t unique. It reflects the systemic neglect of tenants with disabilities. Join us in amplifying her fight & holding the Council accountable. Please share and help us to demand action for Josie & others like her! #DisabilityJustice#Cork#Housing#CATU
@corkcitycouncil@corkcitycouncil we demand:
1️⃣ Immediate repairs to address flooding damage.
2️⃣ Josie’s urgent transfer to an accessible council home.
Josie deserves dignity, independence, & safety in her own home.
Groups from all over the island of Ireland are united in solidarity

I'm afraid dereliction in Drogheda will become like the shoes on the stairs. After a while you don't see them anymore. Passing these the other day I ask how long can hoarding and scaffolding be left there with no work done and how a takeaway can operate in a crumbling building?
Full apartments for rent in Amsterdam at the same price as literally cupboards in Dublin.
Guess that Compulsory Rental Orders on homes empty for 6+ months isn't having any effect.
