Over the last 48hours several of our dog teams have been out searching areas for a missing male requested by North Yorkshire Police. Team members from @scarrescue@ClevelandMRT@SwaledaleMRT@RAFMRT@uwfra and the @CaveRescueOrg have all been assisting Police with the search.
Some really useful tips from @CaveRescueOrg@FellRescue@MosaicOutdoors if you are hiking or visiting the Yorkshire Dales this summer. Watch these excellent videos asking you to prepare for your trip, before you set out.

We’ve all noticed that the evenings are drawing in and, with the clocks going back an hour this weekend, nighttime is going to come that little bit sooner. If you are out on the hills, be prepared.
This Sunday is Mountain and Cave Rescue Awareness Day. One of our supporters, Dan, has shared with us this video featuring his uncle, a CRO team member, as well as our very own search dog Kez. We’re sure you’ll agree with us that it’s fantastic!

We are grateful to Susan Osborne, artist, writer and member of the Red Rose Cave and Pothole Club (RRCPC), who has donated a hand-crafted, sculpted miniature caving scene to be auctioned to raise funds for CRO. https://t.co/oofQYnbsJQ
Good work this morning from @CaveRescueOrg - securing a male and his two daughters from a trapped car on Lythe Fell. Thanks for the quick response to TL Hale and team 👏👏
@KirstiAshworth @YorksAmbulance@UHMBT@DrPeterWeeks1 Glad you made it up and down Ingleborough safely 😉Happy Christmas and many more accident free adventures in 2021
A few people spotted today wearing jeans or tracksuit bottoms and trainers and carrying nothing additional. When Cotton or Denim gets wet and combined with -6°C windchill, at best it’s going to be very uncomfortable. At worst it’s a recipe for hypothermia. Wes #beadventuresmart
