@Seanjkernan Here you go. It's my pinned answer on Quora, and it's free to read.
I like it because it spawned so many hilarious - and nice - comments. And because I try to write funny stuff but rarely succeed.

@electricdoofus@MsMelChen You think in 70 years the kids -- whose dad is a billionaire -- will still be crying to their therapists about it? (The woman has been divorced for years.)
I guess trauma is subjective, but I doubt this is going to be the defining event of their lives.
@RPSizzle If you mean "support him going to prison," then yes, I am fully behind that.
Good luck selling your backstock from 2024, and enjoy the tariffs!
@ScarMillyo@AlCappuccinoIT Used to be this way, but employers would fire their hourly workers & make low paid salaried folks pick up their shifts.
Costs less to do that vs paying overtime, sometimes barely skirting the minimum wage laws.
@AmandaMGoetz Also know a "bad" neighborhood can become highly desirable after awhile. In 2008 mine was kinda sketchy but super close to everything & highly walkable (even to work downtown).
@AmandaMGoetz Congrats! I bought my first house at 40 & it was a great decision despite being underwater with my mortgage the first 15 years or so.
Get 2 home inspections to catch any possible flaw or issue. Even/especially new construction which can be shoddy.
@michaelwatson2 In Germany circa 1938 a woman might have broken up with her fiance over his support of the Austrian Anschluss.
But it's just a policy disagreement, right?
@drclairetaylor @treacymo "The standard UK voltage is 240v, whereas the United States standard voltage is 120v." Yours is twice as powerful, I guess to get that tea in ya faster ?
@drclairetaylor @treacymo The electric current is different in the US. Kettles don't heat up as fast. Plus not a ton of Americans drink tea regularly.
Home espresso machines are very popular here.
@TheDrugMoney Geez, I'm fixing to write another piece for pharmacy customers (I occasionally write about antics at Walgreens).
Rattling the bars is horrible, but your analogy was hilarious. Glad you're cage free now.
@TheDrugMoney I also can't believe y'all only get 30 mins for lunch, and that ppl go apeshit if they're in line when that sliding door closes at 1:30 pm.
