@LeaGrie Hmmm maybe the inclusive fitness people have a definition? With maternal behavior in rodents we would refer to offspring vs non offspring or foster maternal care. With offspring implying genetic descendants

@LeaGrie I'd also specify a direct descendant within one generation. I think you would use grand-offspring etc for more than that.

@LeaGrie I think offspring is more generic and can refer the progeny of either sexual or asexual reproduction. If you wanted to specify the form of reproduction you'd use something more specific like clone, zygote etc
