@ihadanny@ImShahinyan It can be worked out that Black’s last move was …g7-g5. The couldn’t be on g6 as the White king would been in check. The black h-pawn and king couldn’t have moved.
@PHChess@GRENKEChess While I am not a great fan of Freestyle Chess as such, perhaps because I haven’t invested much time in its intricacies yet, it is hard to argue that the games usually become fascinating struggles with lots of unusual tactical, and even positional, themes,like studies & problems.
I thoroughly enjoyed the first round of the #FIDECandidates. Caruana’s win against Nakamura was a strategic masterpiece, demonstrating the lethal combination of opposite colored bishops and the initiative. Even if he had a bad miss near the very end.
