This is one of my most Beautiful memories & videos I have of Freya 🌹
Freya is very rarely part of my life on trips with me or her older siblings. it’s kinda like a double life I live….it’s always been painful and still to this day & forever will cause us all sadness & trauma. So many reasons, @NHSForthValley will not allow Freya her regular staff to go further than the healthboard area where we live to look after her, also nowhere is accessible enough to accommodate Freya with all her medical needs for any length of time longer than a few hours unless it is hospital, hospice or school. Freya is unable to travel any longer than half an hour unless she is in an @Scotambservice
This particular video was filmed on a trip I went with my older daughter, my friend and her daughters to The Holy Island of Lindisfarne @NTlindisfarne about 8 years ago. We struggled as always not having Freya with us especially when we were in the beautiful village garden, it just came alive with birdsong, bees 🐝 and the soft breeze whistling through the trees/shrubs along with the scent of the petals.
So we brought the garden home to Freya ♥️ her reaction was so Beautiful, her happiness gave me a feeling of peace 🌸 🦅 🌳 💨

I spoke candidly about Freya’s early years, intensive medical needs and the impact on me and my older children on @BBCRadioScot with Connie McLaughlin and @ZillahBingley@RainbowTrustCC
More practical and emotional support is needed for families like mine.

Chief Executive of Rainbow Trust Children's Charity @ZillahBingley, featured on @BBCRadioScot this morning hosted by Connie McLaughin, alongside @CazMac38 the mother of seriously ill child Freya. Hear the full discussion here: https://t.co/KxQfGx0t4n
@tressaburke Thankyou for honouring us, and bringing your values for us first. You are an absolute inspiration. I hope this is a clear message to those in charge of our lives who continually deprive us of the resources we need to live. @Keir_Starmer
Thanks @libby_brooks at The Guardian for covering my rejection of MBE for services to disabled people as I cannot accept a personal honour when disabled people are being so dishonoured at this time. Thanks too @BBCRadioScot for having me on to speak about disabled people's lives.
Here’s another one of your favourite BBC Archive videos from 2025! Let’s enjoy the time when Roy Castle was introduced to five generations of mums in The Record Breakers studio. Mrs Violet Lewis, born on 12 June, 1885, was then the UK's only living great-great-great-grandmother.
@CazMac38@ClacksCouncil How worrying for you. Hope Freya will be ok and that you get someone to help you. Can the police help as they’d know who the key holders are? X

On Carers Rights Day, Carolynne shared her experience caring for her daughter Freya and the impact rising fuel costs have had on their family. https://t.co/7MkeWXKF9A via @FacebookWatch
Yesterday, our Young Carers SW Simona was at the Scottish Parliament for a #CarersRightsDay event with @CarersScotland & @CarersTrustScot!
Simona enjoyed meeting colleagues from other organisations but was also reminded about the stark realities and challenges of unpaid carers.
